General comment
A number of translations of the VM have been proposed, based upon various assumptions. Several languages have been proposed as the starting point for creating the manuscript, including Latin, Ukrainian (John Stojko) and a variety of Flemish (Leo Levitov). (The Cathars would probably have spoken a variety of Occitan or what are now defined as Italian dialects.)
The writing of the text, at least superficially, resembles that of a Western European hand of the time, and it appear to be a running text rather than some cypher text.
Note about translations
As the manuscript appears to be a running text, translations should preferably cover more than a few words.
